DOMAIN: NORVRANDT
Norvrandt.org has a new layout! I still love the purple vibes of Lakeland, but I wanted to change the way I upload content to the same independent folders format I used for Deadlock Rebel and Beloved - much tidier and neater. I don't know if I will do this for individual fanlistings, but I'd like to gradually transition the rest of my tributes to it at least (Control's is the easiest to do, so that one next).

Anyway. This was a great opportunity to give Norvrandt a refresh. I made this layout when I didn't have the brain to work on fic. I tried, really really hard, to make a layout without using Ashe. I failed, spectacularly. But you cannot deny she looks cool as heck.

COLLECTIVE: BELOVED
Frimelda, Ikuto, Jecht, Jill, Maximilien, Midna, Nina, Ranulf, and Zakuro were added to the wall. Barring anyone new, or me suddenly remembering somebody I glaringly forgot, this should be the last batch.

I've got a few additional reading pages on the tip of my tongue, so expect a few of those... soon.

GUESTBOOK
After some wrangling, I installed PHP guestbook and Norvrandt has its own guestbook! It is... very much a wip. I did a bit of code poking so it's at least serviceable and a little personalised, but as it's a lot of line by line checking and sensible guesswork for stuff I'm very unfamiliar with, I'll work on improving it gradually.

COLLECTIVE: BELOVED


badabing badaboom. you can thank an endless amount of noise and me being unable to sleep through it for this one.

Whilst classified as a collective, Beloved is a visual list of my favourite fictional characters, with a few extra pages where I talk about how I came to love them here and there! I may add more in time, but fourteen is a good place to start, and they were short enough that they were not too taxing to write. You can see a full list of them on the about page.

Norvrandt and Farron have been updated to list Beloved accordingly. I've taken down Kairi's tribute for the time being, although Radiance will return in a reimagined form.

I also made another layout for another future project before making over a hundred images for Beloved, and the downside is there is still three days of noise left, and I am posting this at such an hour because, surprise, I am too exhausted and I cannot sleep through it. Help.

Next time, hopefully: Ashe site.

TRIBUTE: RESONANCE
As much a shock to me as it is to you, for the first time in seven years, I made a brand new tribute, in honour of the videogame Control made by Remedy Entertainment. Resonance is now open for viewing! I spent many words rambling about how exactly this game scratched my brain so nicely, but really, it's a banger, you should check it out. The worldbuilding and art direction are phenomenal. The layout is a little more simple than I would usually go for, and the site a little more quirky/weird in presentation - capturing my like for this game has to be reflected in the site being a little odd, annnnd is about six thousand words on one page, oops.

Perhaps when the sequel comes out, a second page...???

Norvrandt was also updated to list Resonance under current sites.

Nevarra has a new layout! This one features the former professional gamer D.Va from Overwatch. I've played a lot of Overwatch in the past year, and after some deliberating, messed around with some images and textures for a few hours and came up with something I actually rather liked. It's lazily coded using the previous version with the phantom thieves as a base, but hey, I've been at this half my life, I can afford to be lazy. My showcase had an overhaul, though!

JANE DOE: JOINED FANLISTINGS
My joined page has had a slight makeover, where I gave Edna the boot and gave it a quick sprucing up with Sakura as she appears in the second OP of Clear Card. I actually saw this image two hours prior and immediately decided it would be perfect for this, and here we are.

farron.net's temporary page was updated to include a functional list of links; it'll likely remain static from this point on, unless I suddenly get inspired to expand it.

A small change, in which I updated the presentation for my upcoming sites (again) - or those that I at least plan to do for this year. I also updated the current sites page with the surprise tribute, listed below.

I also updated my contact page with a new design for this year, featuring Lunafreya from Final Fantasy XV.

SHRINE: PICK A GOD AND PRAY
One of the earliest sites I always wanted to make was for Fire Emblem as a series, but it was something I always pushed back as I couldn't figure out how to tackle such a long subject matter; until I got hit by an epiphany that I didn't have to talk about everything, and just how I would present this site. Having had it in the back of my mind for years, it was extremely easy to word vomit an entire tribute in the space of a week. I'm still shocked this was a thing that happened, but it did, and it has, and my blue sky, dream tribute is here!

It's very opinionated, and a relaxed way to shrining, and I enjoyed the entire (secret) process. Pick A God And Pray is up over at taguel.

It also had a small update today, with a new banner for the Tellius pages because Sanaki (!!) was added to Heroes, which is the artwork I'm using for the headers.

Why do I bother and why does this keep happening. "Later," I say. Later turns into eight months. As is, everything other than the fanlisting updates took place within the last two weeks, so that's more a case of nothing to report.

Nothing noteworthy, but I made a new temporary page for farron.net, since I never got round to it last time. I might try to make a layout from this one... eventually.

DOMAIN: NEVARRA
Nevarra had a couple of updates in the form of projects for 2017! For the first time ever I managed to complete something on this page, so I went ahead and gave it a look over. My Old Kingdom tribute is next in the pipeline, but it'll remain a slow, steady slog - but as I wrote a Nanworimo opus based in this universe, it will be done. Very, very slowly.

Aside from Old Kingdom, I'm teasing ideas with making a tribute for Prompto from Final Fantasy XV, but his will be a slower sort of thing. We'll see if anything else comes out this year as a surprise? You never know.

DOMAIN: CIETH
As of yesterday, cieth.org has a brand new layout for the new year! This one features the cast of XV, because regardless of what Square says, they will remain part of Fabula Nova Crystallis in my heart. Anyways, since I hadn't made a layout in about eight months I didn't do anything fancy with this one in terms of coding - it's very lazily swiped from the last variant with different fonts and more recent preferences. However, I'm all for the simplicity. It's nice; it turned out better than I expected and serves my XV needs for the time being.

SHRINE: PROMISES
Hold onto your hats, folks, Rems actually completed a thing! That being, Promises, my tribute for the lovely Serah Farron from Final Fantasy XIII, is now online and is complete! Well, mostly - there's a media section I might add if I feel like it, and I still need to list her everywhere, but she's here and she's ready for your views. This one has been a long, long process of maybe four or six years, but it wasn't until 2016 when I got of my butt and actually made some plans and outlines when I was approved for her fanlisting.

The layout is the same as it was, though it was always made with this tribute in mind. I'm very pleased! It's been a lot of work, but I've proved to myself I'm capable of doing it. Awyea.

DOMAIN: NEVARRA
First thing's first, nevarra.org has a new layout! This one features Kinomoto Sakura as a prince. In all my years of owning Fractured, Sakura was never a layout headliner, even though the domain was partly named after her... oh well. Prince Sakura is here with us now! I've loved this image for a very long time and I'm happy to come up with something for it. At first, I conceptualised this layout much smaller, but that wasn't working for me, so I decided to go bigger and now it's one of my most favourite layouts that I've ever made. There's some different coding tricks from my norm and I made use of a lot of many, many (span) tags to get where we are now, but I'm pleased.

With the new layout, I also went ahead and rewrote my network showcase (with a few new images) and expanded upon what's coming soon and whittled the list down to what I'd like to have completed by the end of the 2016. Both the tributes have layouts already, so now it's just sitting down and working on the content that needs doing.

The domain and webmistress pages also received some small changes and updates.

I went round and fixed a bunch of little typos and errors and updated my contact page. None of this really deserves going under Nevarra, but just as a heads up.

COLLECTIVE
Softly Call has a new layout! This one features Ezio Auditore. Syndicate sort of brought me back into the fold. In a stark contrast to the last, this one is mainly white and red, the colour of the assassins, because, edgy. There's also a story behind it; I'm signed up to Ubiworkshop, and in their recent promotion for Ezio's leap of faith figure, I spotted this concept art, which I've naturally never seen before since I only got into the series the year Black Flag was released. I had to have it, and I had to make a layout with it, and so, here we are. I did a bit of experimenting with this one to try and get the image to 'fade' naturally once the text came in; I think it works quite well. It also doesn't line up because animus, helix glitches, ever the creative... I also broke the unspoken font rule, but I think on this occasion, it's okay. Hopefully.

I also rewrote the about page (it's about time!) and hopefully this one will be satisfactory to me later down the road.
